Border Jumpers Miller Gone for Year Friday, May 29th , 2076 When Tom Miller was hurt against the Havana Comrades, the Laredo Border Jumpers were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 26-year-old first baseman suffered a torn posterior cruciate ligament running the bases in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Miller would miss 9-10 months of the season. At present, Miller is batting .231 and has collected 2 home runs, 15 RBIs, .288 OBP and scored 15 runs. |
