League Suspends Diablos Dwyer 4 Games Saturday, September 13th , 2070 The baseball commissioner has suspended Diablos center fielder Millard Dwyer 4 games for arguing too vehemently on a called third strike in the Crab Apple Cove game at Vargas Field. Apparently he said the magic words and was ejected by the home plate umpire. He went into the dugout, then returned to the field, resumed his argument with the umpire and had to be restrained by his first base coach. Dwyer said he shouldn't have gone back on the field. "I was pretty mad. I was all over the place." For the year Dwyer is hitting .287 with 20 home runs. His stats include 64 runs batted in and 65 runs scored. |
