Franco Bewilders Ice Pirates in 11-0 Shutout Sunday, September 21st , 2070 Reading Railbirds hurler Fernando Franco was at his best as he beat the Glacier Bay Ice Pirates, 11-0. "He just kept the ball down, did a good job, made his pitches," said Glacier Bay manager Matt Lehrer. "We didn't do a good job making adjustments, so we helped him out a little bit." Franco fired a 5-hitter and totaled 5 strikeouts and no walks in the shutout performance. To date this year, Franco shows a 9-9 record, 22 starts, 150.2 innings, 152 strikeouts and a 4.06 ERA.
