Hit Streak Now at 20 for Sandoval Tuesday, September 30th , 2070 With 1 hit at Champagne of Beers Field today, Iván Sandoval added another game to his hitting streak -- the Honolulu third baseman has now hit safely for 20 games in a row. But the hitting feat wasn't enough for the High Tide today, as they fell, 7-4, to the Richmond Ravens. "Frankly, I don't care about hits," Richmond manager Jason Cary said later. "I'll let him get 4 hits in 4 at-bats if it means we get a win." Iván Sandoval struck out in the 1st, grounded out in the 4th, walked in the 7th, singled in the 8th and flied out in the 9th. This season Sandoval is batting .395 with 32 hits and no home runs. He has scored 11 times and has 12 RBI. |
