Rum Runners End Sandoval's Streak
Thursday, October 2nd , 2070
It was the best of both worlds for the Orlando Rum Runners today at Krono Field, as they defeated the Honolulu High Tide 5-0 and also snapped Iván Sandoval's 20-game hitting streak. The 23-year-old Honolulu third baseman failed to get a hit in 1 at-bat.

"Nothing personal against Sandoval, we just wanted to win the game," said Rum Runners skipper Brett Jackson. "We did a great job keeping him off-balance and guessing."

When asked by reporters about his streak coming to an end, Sandoval frowned and said, "I won't lie and say that I'm not disappointed about it, but I'd feel much better if we had won."

This season Sandoval is batting .390 with no home runs. His totals include 12 RBIs and 11 runs scored.
