Ward Sits Out with Day-to-Day Injury Friday, October 3rd , 2070 Vermont's star right fielder Joe Ward injured himself in a game against the Keg Creek Coyotes, prompting the team to list him as day-to-day. The doctors are reporting the injury as a sore wrist and they say the best medicine is a short period of rest. "Hopefully I don't get replaced by some hotshot wannabe," said Ward with a smile as he talked to reporters. So far this year Ward has 33 home runs and a .250 batting average. |
