Maulers Clinch Wild Card Friday, October 5th , 2068 For the Minneapolis Maulers, it's not how you start, but how you finish. That's the mantra the team is following after today qualifying for the playoffs. "We may be going into the playoffs as a wild card team, but we plan to finish the playoffs as champions," said closer Greg Douglas. "There's no shortage of confidence from guys in our clubhouse." With a record of 90-70, there will of course be teams with better track records in the postseason. But the team's manager said his club has "infinite optimism" that they can win the franchise's 4th Pioneers of the Diamond championship. |
