3-HR Game for Jones Monday, May 9th , 2072 Edmonton Trappers right fielder Darrel Jones had a magnificent game against the Flint Mound Raiders, rocketing three balls out of Sycamores Ballpark to help the Trappers win, 12-5. "I got some good pitches to hit and I creamed them," he said after the game. "The first was a big, fat fastball and the last two were hanging curves. All three were mistakes." For the game, Jones went 4-for-4 with 6 RBIs and 4 runs scored. "There's a fine line between hitting home runs and line drives," Edmonton manager said later. "Seems like Darrel found his home run stroke today." Darrel Jones hit a two-run home run off Mauro Zarate in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Mauro Zarate in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Paco García in the 3rd, singled in the 6th and walked in the 8th. On the year, Jones is hitting .225 with 20 hits, 5 home runs, 14 RBIs, .339 OBP and has scored 14 runs. |
