Muñóz Belts 5 Hits
Tuesday, June 21st , 2072
Juan Muñóz put on a hitting clinic as the St. Paul Barons dumped the Tequila Worms, 5-4, at Widgets Ballpark.
The St. Paul first baseman made Tequila defenders earn their pay, lashing Tequila pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."
"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Muñóz said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."
Juan Muñóz singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit a two-run home run off Phil Cartwright in the 9th and hit a sac fly in the 11th.
Muñóz is swinging at a .293 pace on the year with 5 home runs, 27 RBIs and 25 runs scored. He has played in 55 games.
