Allison Torches Trappers for 5 Hits Saturday, August 3rd, 2058 After a 5-hit effort to lead Raleigh 's 16-14 victory over the Edmonton Trappers, center fielder Ben Allison told BNN beat writers it had been "a special day." "It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "Three or four is better, but five or more is out of sight. And to do that at the POTD Triple A-level is really something special." The 24-year-old player earned his accolades today at Sycamores Ballpark with a spectacular 5-for-6 game against the Trappers. "His swing is getting there," said Red Terrors skipper , who spoke glowingly of Allison after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Ben did that to perfection today." Ben Allison singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Marvin Lawson in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Choon-mo Sin in the 7th and struck out in the 8th.
