Shepard Sizzles -- Smokes Violators for 5 Hits Monday, August 25th , 2070 Getting 5 hits in a game doesn't happen every day, so it was a special occasion for Might's Donovan Shepard at Ballpark of Glendale today. Shepard put up a 5-for-5 line against the Hill City Violators, swinging the bat with authority all day despite his club's eventual 7-6 loss. "I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Shepard said after the game. "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em. I had a great day, but it's disappointing to lose." Disappointed or not, he still gets his name in the record books. Donovan Shepard doubled in the 1st, tripled in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 8th, hit an RBI single in the 9th and walked in the 11th. So far this year Shepard is hitting .324 with 11 home runs. View Boxscore |
