Chihuahuan -Crab Apple Cove Fight Results in Suspensions Saturday, May 8th , 2077 After an intense confrontation, both the Chuckwallas Eugene Costa and the Barrels Toshiaki Kojima were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Chihuahuan -Crab Apple Cove game. Eugene Costa will miss 4 games, while Toshiaki Kojima was suspended for 8 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Eugene Costa commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." For the season, Costa is batting .346 with 27 hits and 3 home runs. He has scored 13 times and batted in 10. |
