3-Game Suspension for Mitchell Thursday, June 5th , 2070 Bob Mitchell of Raleigh got more than he bargained for when he was ejected for arguing a third strike call in yesterday's game against the Moline Mavericks. It turns out that the ejection wasn't the end of it. Today, the league decided to suspend Mitchell for 3 games for his actions which included a rant filled with inappropriate language and throwing equipment on the field once he returned to the dugout. "Players need to show more restraint on the field," the league's announcement said. "Mitchell obviously crossed the line and we had to take the proper action against him." Currently Mitchell is batting .377 with 3 home runs and 20 RBIs. |
