Cleveland Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Flushing Wednesday, July 7th , 2077 Ft Levenworth Rock Crushers right fielder Paul Cleveland finally met his Waterloo. A 20-game hitting spree is now history after Cleveland was unable to make anything happen in 3 at-bats today against the Flushing Falcons. Fortunately for Cleveland and the Rock Crushers, the rest of his team had enough in their bats to win the game, 2-1. "We're a true team here," he said. "For 20 games I've been able to contribute, but I always believed these guys would take care of things if I couldn't some day." Looking at his season stats, Cleveland has compiled a .404 batting average and a .475 on-base percentage, while hitting 2 home runs and driving in 43 runs. |
