4-Game Suspensions for Trujillo-Kruit Fight Sunday, July 5th , 2065 When fights happen, suspensions are not far behind. That axiom was held to be true today when La Paz 's Carlos Trujillo and Quaghog 's Servaas Kruit were given a temporary vacation from the game, courtesy of the league commissioner's office. They both were suspended for 4 games for their actions in a recent ruckus between the two teams. Both benches cleared when Trujillo charged Kruit. Both players have accepted their fate and will begin serving their suspensions immediately. Neither would talk to reporters about the confrontation. This season Trujillo is batting .203 with 14 RBIs, 18 runs scored and 4 home runs. On the year, Kruit has recorded no saves with a 0-0 record over 6.2 innings. He has mowed down 10 batters on strikes and walked 2 with an ERA of 4.05. |
