Man Trolls End Mays's Streak Sunday, June 1st , 2064 It was the best of both worlds for the Pine Bluff Man Trolls today at Madison Heights Fields, as they defeated the Ft Levenworth Rock Crushers 7-0 and also snapped Randy Mays's 24-game hitting streak. The 21-year-old Ft Levenworth shortstop failed to get a hit in 5 at-bats. "Nothing personal against Mays, we just wanted to win the game," said Man Trolls skipper . "We did a great job keeping him off-balance and guessing." When asked by reporters about his streak coming to an end, Mays frowned and said, "I won't lie and say that I'm not disappointed about it, but I'd feel much better if we had won." On the year Mays has hit .325 with 1 home run, 10 RBIs and scored 23 runs. |
