PAC A Diamond Hitter Award Goes to Chapman Tuesday, September 23rd , 2070
With stellar statistics and an uncanny ability to lead his team to victory, many around POTD Single A felt Dylan Chapman was a shoo-in to be named most valuable player - except for the player himself.
"There's lots of great players in the league, I'm not so sure I deserve to be named among the best," he said.
But Chapman has in fact been named the 2070 Pacific League A Diamond Hitter Award winner.
The Brighton Fightin' Squirrels ace put up an impressive year, with a 14-2 record. In 24 starts he piled up 167.2 innings, had 219 strikeouts with 23 walks and a 1.40 ERA. Chapman held opposing hitters to a .211 batting average and compiled a 8.1 WAR along the way.
