Dayton Diamonds hurler Walt Clayton logged a 5-hit, complete game shutout over the Gamblers , stopping them 6-0 at Ballpark of Fremont today.

"I felt great out there," Clayton said in his postgame interview. "After the second or third inning, I got real comfortable. Hopefully this is a building block for me. I'd love a few more starts like this."

He rung up 10 strikeouts and gave up no walks in the performance.

This year Clayton has recorded a 9-8 mark. In 17 starts he has fanned 94 batters in 108.2 innings with a 3.89 ERA.
