Hits Galore: Ramírez Drills 5 Hits
A jubilant Carlos Ramírez joined the postgame press conference at Fisher Cats Ballpark to offer some unusual words of encouragement -- for the Lexington Platinum pitching staff he had just vanquished.

"It may not have looked like it," said the Crab Apple Sluggers second baseman, "but I saw some awful good pitches today. If luck hadn't been on my side it might have turned out a lot different."

That would not have been the conclusion of anyone who saw his dominant 5-for-6 hitting performance, which led to the 10-7 Sluggers win.

"He made it look easy," said , manager of the Platinum . "We never figured out what to do with him. Obviously."

Carlos Ramírez doubled in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run double in the 7th, doubled in the 9th and hit a two-run double in the 11th.

Currently Ramírez is batting .285 with 81 hits and 5 home runs. He has knocked in 44 runs and scored 40 times.
