Minutemen Perry Has 15 Ks
|
Toby Perry of the Mass Ave Minutemen put on a pitching clinic today at Robots Ballpark as he struck out 15 Rothschild Leaves in a 4-2 victory. Perry, who is tied for 2nd in the OBL in strikeouts with 104, was simply magnificent as he held the Leaves to 2 hits. He walked 5.
"I felt okay at the beginning," Perry said, "but eventually my slider really started working. I also have to thank my catcher for calling a great game."
When asked about Perry's performance, Minutemen manager shook his head and said, "Yeah, he was good out there today. He was dominating."
Perry has fashioned a 2-1 mark for the season, 6.34 ERA and thrown 49.2 innings in 9 starts. Opposing clubs are batting .236 against him.
