Man Trolls Heading to Round 2
|
The Pine Bluff Man Trolls "proved we can handle pressure" by beating the Round 1 and eliminating the Ft Levenworth Rock Crushers, according to series MVP Eduardo Mendoza.
"This is the big stage, we're off to the Round 2 and looking towards the Round 3," he said. "There's a lot of pressure at this time of year and it's only going to get more intense from here. But I think we can handle it just fine."
Pine Bluff won the final game 4-1, to wrap up the series 3-1.
Mendoza led his team to the series win by putting up a .400 average, with a .500 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 2 runs.
The Pine Bluff Man Trolls don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Rancho Cucamonga Cucarachas - Lancaster Lightning series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
