Gappers Cruise to Round 2 with Sweep
The Greensboro Gappers are on to the Round 2 after a convincing series win over the Woodmere Starfires.

Greensboro wrapped up the series sweep with a 11-5 win in the last game, to take the series 3-0.

"We expected to win and we executed the way we needed to," said Armando Mendoza, who was named series MVP.

For the series, Mendoza hit .429 with a .500 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 3 runs.

The Greensboro Gappers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Orlando Jailbreakers - Saint Paul Rovers series. Orlando leads the series 2 games to 1. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
