Flint Mound Advances to Round 2
The Flint Mound Raiders and Bethlehem Ironmen didn't hold back anything in the Round 1, with each team pulling out all the stops in an effort to advance to the Round 2.

Flint Mound won the final game by a score of 5-2 at Courageous Ballpark and that concluded the series, 3-2.

"Relief is the biggest thing," Flint Mound catcher Jason O'Herlihy said when asked how he felt. "It's a grind both mentally and physically to have a long series like this, but our guys stuck with it and Bethlehem deserves credit for the hard fight."

O'Herlihy paced the Flint Mound offence and earned MVP honors. For the series, he hit .471 with a .500 on-base percentage, 0 home runs, 4 RBI and scored 1 runs.

The Flint Mound Raiders will play against the Columbus Explorers in the next round. Columbus won their series against the Saint Johns Moose 3 games to 0. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
