Explorers Move on to Round 2
|
The Columbus Explorers are on to the Round 2 after a convincing series win over the Bethlehem Ironmen.
Columbus wrapped up the series sweep with a 2-1 win in the last game, to take the series 3-0.
"We expected to win and we executed the way we needed to," said Freddie Crum, who was named series MVP.
For the series, Crum hit .333 with a .308 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 1 RBI and scored 2 runs.
The Columbus Explorers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Norfolk Navigators - Tequila Worms series. Norfolk leads the series 2 games to 1. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
