Dayton 's Jones Down with Injury Friday, April 16th , 2077 The doctors have spoken and Marvin Jones of the Dayton Diamonds didn't like what he heard. The 24-year-old shortstop is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Jones sustained his season-ending injury during the Trenton Talons game yesterday at Ballpark of Fremont. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while running the bases. Today the Dayton medical staff reported Jones had a torn anterior cruciate ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 6 months. |
