Burti Blasts 3 into Bleachers Wednesday, May 12th , 2077 Bethlehem Ironmen right fielder Clement Burti had a magnificent game against the Coudersport Monkeys, rocketing three balls out of Coudersport Fields to help the Ironmen win, 9-2. "I got some good pitches to hit and I creamed them," he said after the game. "The first was a big, fat fastball and the last two were hanging curves. All three were mistakes." For the game, Burti went 3-for-5 with 6 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "There's a fine line between hitting home runs and line drives," Bethlehem manager said later. "Seems like Clement found his home run stroke today." Clement Burti grounded out in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off José Pérez in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Tim Anderson in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Kelvin Montgomery in the 9th. Currently Burti is hitting .270 and has collected 3 home runs, 8 RBIs and scored 6 times, while playing in 16 games. |
