Jones Boosts Hit Streak to 20 Games Monday, April 29th , 2075 Stewart Jones, right fielder for the Raleigh Red Terrors, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games with 3 hits in his club's 10-2 victory over the Edmonton Trappers at Sycamores Ballpark. "I don't really know why it's even happening," he said with a grin after the game. "So asking me how long I can keep it up is kind of irrelevant. It'll end when it ends." Stewart Jones flied out in the 2nd, doubled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit a two-run double in the 7th and flied out in the 8th. For the season, Jones is hitting .443, batted in 16 runs with 1 home run and 12 runs scored. |
