Hit Streak Over, Van Hagars Stop Bryant Friday, May 28th , 2077 It just wasn't Harvey Bryant's day. The Trenton Talons grabbed the 3-1 win over the Cabo San Lucas Van Hagars , but the Van Hagars mound staff did what nobody else could -- they stopped the 23-game hitting streak of Talons first baseman Harvey Bryant. "We might have focused a bit too much on stopping Bryant," Cabo San Lucas manager commented afterward. "He had a nice hitting streak going, but the Talons have other hitters and they did their job today." Bryant is currently batting .325 with 4 home runs and 26 RBIs. |
