Hit Streak Now at 30 for Rúbio Wednesday, June 2nd , 2077 The hot bat of Cannons first baseman Miguel Angel Rúbio continues to churn out hit after hit, game after game. His consecutive-game hitting streak now numbers 30 games after he went 1-for-4 in today's 4-2 loss to the Van Hagars at Ballpark of Loyola. "I'm trying not to think about it much," he said later. "I don't want to mess with whatever zone I'm in." Miguel Angel Rúbio struck out in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, singled in the 7th and flied out in the 9th. This season, Rúbio has delivered 54 hits in 182 at-bats for a .297 average with 13 home runs. He is getting on base at a .399 clip and his totals also include 39 RBIs and 36 runs scored. This year Rúbio has played in 46 games. |
