League Suspends St. Paul 's Ortíz Sunday, May 15th , 2072 The baseball commissioner has suspended Barons catcher Francisco Ortíz 3 games for arguing too vehemently on a called third strike in the Haiti game at Roadrunners Ballpark. Apparently he said the magic words and was ejected by the home plate umpire. He went into the dugout, then returned to the field, resumed his argument with the umpire and had to be restrained by his first base coach. Ortíz said he shouldn't have gone back on the field. "I was pretty mad. I was all over the place." Ortíz is currently batting .184 with 1 home run and 8 RBIs. |
