Britt Belts Bunch of Base Hits Sunday, July 1st , 2074 It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Mike Britt. Britt went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Colo Springs pitchers. When the dust settled on the diamond at Widgets Ballpark, he had a 5-for-6 line and a day he will long remember. And the St. Paul Barons had a win, 13-3, over the Sky Sox. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview. Mike Britt hit a solo-shot off Jeremy Owens in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 6th, grounded out in the 7th and hit a two-run single in the 8th.
