García Dominates Sting
Monday, July 17th , 2073
Salvador García was throwing strikes early and getting ahead in the count, his manager said after the Mammouth Might hurler tossed a 3-hit, complete game shutout against the Virginia Sting.
"I went right after each hitter, trying to get ahead in the count," said García. "I wanted them to swing the bats and keep my pitch count down. It worked. I felt strong the whole game, even in the last two innings."
García walked 1 and struck out 13 in the 8-0 victory.
In 13 starts this season, García has compiled a 7-4 record and a 2.81 ERA.
