Rey Breezes to Shutout Victory
Monday, July 17th , 2073
José Rey of the Greenwich Village Idiots was masterful, pitching a 3-hit shutout, 11-0, against the Boy Town Clients.
By going the distance, he was at the same time able to give his bullpen a rest, a fact appreciated by Greenwich Village manager .
"It's nice to have someone who can do that from time to time," he said. "He had command of every ball and every pitch. Great location, too."
Rey had 8 strikeouts and 5 walks in the outing.
For the year, Rey has compiled a 3-0 record with a 0.83 ERA.
