Trenton Punchless in 10-0 Loss to Woodrats Saturday, July 22nd , 2073 Sean Gordon was throwing strikes early and getting ahead in the count, his manager said after the Mojave Woodrats hurler tossed a 2-hit, complete game shutout against the Trenton Talons. "I went right after each hitter, trying to get ahead in the count," said Gordon. "I wanted them to swing the bats and keep my pitch count down. It worked. I felt strong the whole game, even in the last two innings." Gordon walked 2 and struck out 6 in the 10-0 victory. Checking out his stats for the season, Gordon has racked up 11 wins and 2 losses in 16 starts, posted a 1.95 ERA, and struck out 105 batters in 120 innings. View Boxscore |
