Clampett Electric in 10-0 Win
Friday, July 28th , 2073
It wasn't easy but the San Quentin Outlaws made it look that way.
Starter Roland Clampett shut out the Virginia Sting despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the San Quentin Outlaws cruised to victory, 10-0. Clampett allowed only 1 hit and rang up 9 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win.
"It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up."
To date Clampett is 9-5 in 18 starts with a 3.08 ERA and has 100 strikeouts in 108 innings.
