Year Over for Explorers Townsley Friday, July 5th, 2058 Robert Townsley will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and indicated the Columbus center fielder could miss the remainder of the year. Townsley was injured while running the bases in the Explorers-Barons clash at Widgets Ballpark recently. Doctors said he has a ruptured medial collateral ligament and would be out a minimum of 8 months. In 66 games this season Townsley has compiled a .287 batting average with 71 hits and 5 home runs. He has also scored 32 times and knocked in 36 runs. |
