Roberts Keeps Hit Streak Alive Thursday, May 25th, 2062 Charlie Roberts's consecutive-game hitting streak has now climbed to 20 games. The Calgary first baseman smacked 1 hit against the Kingston Rasta in today's game at Ballpark of Loyola, but he expressed mixed emotions about the streak after watching the Cannons drop the game, 4-2. "I feel good about the streak, but don't feel good when we lose," he told reporters. "I'd love to get a hit as well as a win next time so I can celebrate properly." Charlie Roberts walked in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, flied out in the 5th and singled in the 7th. This season in 43 games Roberts is batting .300 with 8 home runs, 39 RBIs and has scored 39 times. |
