Saturday, July 21st , 2074
Some moments become linked with a particular player's career forever. Carlos Morales of the Dayton Diamonds had one of those moments when he went 5-for-6 at the plate in his team's 10-2 win over the Mojave Woodrats at Road Runners Stadium.
"I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 23-year-old center fielder told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years."
Carlos Morales flied out in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
So far this season, Morales is batting .298 with 10 home runs, 42 RBIs and 46 runs scored. He has 105 hits in 352 at-bats, 15 walks and a .332 OBP. Morales has played in 85 games.
