Richardson Extends Hit Streak to 25 Games Monday, June 2nd , 2064 Tony Richardson's hitting streak is becoming the talk of Ocean Beach. The 28-year-old second baseman extended it once again today, this time bringing it to 25 games with a 3-for-5 performance against the Columbus Explorers. The Surf took the game, 21-11. "People are starting to bring it up to me when I'm around town," he said. "It's getting stressful." Tony Richardson singled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 4th and grounded out in the 5th. This season Richardson is batting .438 with 11 RBIs, 13 runs scored and 3 home runs. |
