Wilkins Shuts Out Barons, 11-0 Saturday, July 26th , 2070 Ash Wilkins bent a little, but he didn't break against the St. Paul Barons. The Saint Johns Moose pitcher hurled a 4-hit 11-0 shutout in a fine performance, surrendering no walks and tallying 9 strikeouts. "Ash is good at getting out of jams," Moose manager told reporters after the game. "He's almost more effective when he gets guys on base or gets behind in the count, because he uses your aggressiveness against you." Thus far this season Wilkins has posted a 3-4 record, started 8 games, struck out 56 batters in 59 innings and compiled a 2.90 ERA. View Boxscore |
