Torrid July Gets Thompson PAC #1 Batter Trophy Wednesday, August 1st , 2068 For a rookie just breaking in, Derrick Thompson certainly put together a successful month. It was good enough to win the PAC Batter of the Month award for July. The 25-year-old center fielder for the Colo Springs Sky Sox hit .340 with 9 home runs, 26 RBIs and 17 runs scored. For the year Thompson is hitting .290 with 21 home runs. His stats include 62 RBI and 46 runs scored. |
