Consecutive-Game Hit Streak Continues for Ortíz Wednesday, August 21st, 2058 Juan Ortíz ran his hitting streak to 37 straight games today at Steel Hounds Ballpark, when he collected 1 hit in 5 at-bats. The feat came, however, as the Offshore Gamblers dropped the game, 5-4, to the Hill City Violators. "Hey, the streak is great -- I hope it never ends," Ortíz said later. "But I'm not happy to lose the game." Juan Ortíz flied out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, flied out in the 8th, walked in the 10th and singled in the 13th.
