Diamonds Tom García Sidelined Saturday, August 30th , 2070 Dayton fans will be disappointed to learn that Tom García suffered shoulder tendinitis while throwing the ball in today's game. After the doctor informed the Dayton Diamonds manager that García was expected to miss 5-6 weeks, the manager told the press that the rest of the team would have to step up their play until the center fielder could return. "You can't make excuses in baseball, because there's always a game tomorrow," said the team's skipper. In 49 games this season García has batted at a .206 pace with 40 hits and 18 home runs. |
