Great Stroke: Clark Gets 5 Hits
Friday, May 16th , 2070
After a 5-hit effort to lead Granville's 7-3 victory over the East St. Louis Eagles, shortstop Stephen Clark told BNN beat writers it had been "a special day."

"It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "Three or four is better, but five or more is out of sight. And to do that at the POTD Double A-level is really something special."

The 23-year-old player earned his accolades today at Ballpark of Stockton with a spectacular 5-for-5 game against the Eagles.

"His swing is getting there," said Greyhounds skipper , who spoke glowingly of Clark after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Stephen did that to perfection today."

Stephen Clark doubled in the 2nd, hit a three-run double in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.

Clark on the season is batting .333 with no home runs. His totals include 7 RBIs and 2 runs scored. He has played in 10 games.
