Granville Loses 2B Stokes, Suspended by League Thursday, April 11th , 2075 Max Stokes of the Granville Greyhounds became belligerent after a third-strike call in the game against Lexington yesterday at Fisher Cats Ballpark. Today, the Greyhounds second baseman addressed his battle with the umps and the ejection that resulted in a 4-game suspension by the league. Stokes said the league report submitted to the league by the umpiring crew did not tell whole story. "They conveniently left out the names they called me." In a statement the league said the suspension was because Stokes returned to the field after the first argument had subsided. |
