Seagulls End Bove Streak Wednesday, May 12th , 2077 The Green Bay Huskies lost to the Brainerd Seagulls, 4-3, at Stealers Ballpark, but perhaps the bigger news was the end of Lindsay Bove's 21-game hitting streak. The first baseman went 0-for-4 on the day. "We felt if we could slow down Bove, we would win the game," Seagulls manager explained. "They really seemed to feed off his streak, so we tried to put more emphasis on shutting him down." Thus far this year, Bove is batting .391 with 2 home runs, 11 RBIs and 15 runs scored. |
