Ma Strokes 5 Hits
Monday, April 29th , 2075
Some moments become linked with a particular player's career forever. Zong-ming Ma of the Sonoran Jackrabbits had one of those moments when he went 5-for-8 at the plate in his team's 31-3 win over the East St. Louis Eagles at Ballpark of Stockton.
"I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 22-year-old center fielder told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years."
Zong-ming Ma singled in the 1st, singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, walked in the 6th, singled in the 7th, grounded out in the 8th and flied out in the 9th.
This year, Ma is hitting .486, produced 15 RBIs and 4 home runs, scored 20 times and gotten on base at a .589 rate.
