Santiago Clemente Out for Season Sunday, May 23rd , 2077 A blow for Santiago Clemente today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 14 months with a torn ulnar collateral ligament. Clemente suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the Olympic River Swimmers are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Clemente's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature. To date this season, Clemente sports a 3-2 mark with a 4.10 ERA in 8 starting assignments. He has held the opposition to a .331 batting average and has 36 strikeouts in 37.1 innings. |
