21-Game Streak Ends, Kim Hitless
Monday, May 24th , 2077
It was the best of both worlds for the Olympic River Swimmers at Ballpark of Thornwood, as they defeated the Sonoran Jackrabbits, 9-1, and also snapped Won-joon Kim's 21-game hitting streak. The 31-year-old Sonoran second baseman failed to get a hit in 3 at-bats.
"Nothing personal against Kim, we just wanted to win the game," said River Swimmers skipper . "We did a great job keeping him off-balance and guessing."
When asked by reporters about his streak coming to an end, Kim frowned and said, "I won't lie and say that I'm not disappointed about it, but I'd feel much better if we had won."
Kim is batting .442 with 3 home runs and 17 RBIs this season.
