Suspensions Handed Out for Bench-Clearing Brawl Saturday, June 30th , 2074 If there wasn't a history between James Burris of Summit County and Dave Evans of Jackson Hole , then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 4 and 6 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Burris said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." Burris is hitting .176 this year with no home runs and 1 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .200, no walks and scored 1 times. Thus far this season, Evans has worked 118 innings with 102 strikeouts en route to a 9-2 record and a 2.82 ERA. |
